"PSY" HAPPY BIRTHDAY

"Happy Birthday to PSY, the man behind the rise of K-pop globally.

As a child, PSY was known for his playful nature, often interrupting classes with jokes, which didn't sit well with his teachers. His parents wanted him to join the family business, but his passion lay in performing.

He studied Business in college against his wish and dropped out to pursue music. Upon enrolling in a music school, he gained attention as a controversial K-pop artist, facing even more criticism. His song "Right Now" was banned in his home country.

He continued releasing songs and his third album's song was chosen for the 2002 World Cup in South Korea.

Consistently working hard, PSY finally struck gold. "Gangnam Style" became a global sensation, earning Guinness World Records for being the first music video to reach 1 billion views on YouTube. He also set records for the most-liked YouTube video and won prestigious awards like the MTV award. The video has now amassed a staggering 5 billion views.
