In 2016, Elton John played Tekno's song titled 'Diana' on one of his episodes of the Rocket Hour radio show on Apple Music.

Having written songs for renowned artists like Drake and Swae Lee, Tekno's journey of becoming one of the biggest African artists was interrupted. One morning he woke up to discover his vocal cords damaged, leaving him unable to sing again.

Sadly, he couldn't collaborate with Drake, but he was announced as one of the producers of ‘Won't Be Late’ by Swae Lee featuring Drake.

However, In 2023 after making a comeback Tekno collaborated with Kizz Daniel and released “Buga," an instant hit.

Today marks his 31st birthday. Let's celebrate a legend.
