"EMEFIELE" HAS BEEN RELEASED FOR FREEDOM AGAIN.

 

"Former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele has been released from the Kuje Correctional Centre.

 

Emefiele was released on Friday, December 22, after meeting up with his bail condition. Spokesperson for the Kuje Correctional Centre, FCT, Adamu Duza who confirmed this, said; 

 

“I can confirm to you that he (Emefiele) has met his bail conditions, hence he has no reason to remain in our facility. He met his bail condition and was released past 2pm yesterday (Friday).”

 

Recall that a Federal Capital Territory High Court had granted a N300m bail to Emefiele who is being prosecuted for alleged procurement fraud.

 

He was granted the bail with two sureties in like sum. The sureties must have certificates of occupancy and titles of properties within the Maitama District of Abuja.

 

Emefiele was also ordered to deposit all his travel documents with the registrar of the court, adding that he must remain within the Abuja Municipal Area Council.

"FG partially shuts Third Mainland Bridge for 8 weeks repair

"The Iyana Oworonshoki-Adeniji Adele section of the Third Mainland Bridge was on Tuesday, January 9, shut down by the federal government for a comprehensive rehabilitation.    The federal comptroller of works for Lagos state, Mrs Olukorede Kesha, supervised the closure to mark the beginning of the rehabilitation and it was also gathered that it was done at the intersection where motorists coming from Ojota link the Third Mainland Bridge on the Island-bound carriageway.   She was accompanied by the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr Kayode Farinloye; the Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi; Commissioner of Police, Fayoade Adekoya, and other top officials.   Kesha said the closure of the bridge would be done in two phases daily and traffic diverted to different carriageways at different times. "Unknown woman disappears with newborn at specialist hospital in Lafia

  "An unidentified woman reportedly stole a newborn baby boy from the postnatal ward of Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital in Lafia on Tuesday, Jan. 9.   The mother of the hours-old baby, Mrs Wosilat Suleiman, told newsmen that she gave birth earlier that day through Caesarean Section.
