  "A Zimbabwean  policeman has been crushed to death while recording a statement at the scene of an accident.   Constable Mugwazo who was formerly stationed at Victoria Falls and later transferred to Hwange, had recently been posted to Dete Police Station in the Hwange district, where he served in the traffic department.   However, on Tuesday, January 16, after he and his fellow officers arrived at an accident scene involving a haulage truck in Cross Dete, another accident occurred claiming his life.   It was gathered that a haulage truck collided with a stationary truck and a police vehicle, resulting in the unfortunate death of Constable Mugwazo.   National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the accident and provided further details. According to Commissioner Nyathi, Constable Mugwazo was in the police Mahindra truck, recording a statement as it was raining.   "Passengers on a Thai AirAsia flight from Bangkok to Phuket were shocked when they discovered a snake in the cabin’s overhead compartment.  A video of the incident was shared online by a passenger.  The tiny snake was seen slithering over the overhead cabin lights above the overhead compartment on an AirAsia Airbus A320 plane on January 13.  The discovery led to some passengers moving away from the seats that were closer to the snake while others took out their phones to record the reptile.  One of the cabin crew members reportedly tried to capture the snake inside an empty disposable plastic water bottle. The snake was later swept into a garbage bag using a plastic bottle.  It was not immediately clear how the snake ended up inside the aircraft.  The snake was found as the plane was preparing to land at the Phuket airport.  Once the plane landed, it was searched thoroughly. The Spanish government has reintroduced face masks in hospitals and healthcare centres from today after a surge in COVID-19 and flu cases in the country, the Health Ministry said.     The new leftist minority coalition government is imposing the measure despite opposition from most of Spain's 17 autonomous regions.     'We are talking about putting on a mask when you enter a health centre and taking it off when you leave,' Health Minister Monica Garcia told Cadena Ser radio.   'I don't think it is any drama.   "C hief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja has revealed that soldier who criticised Governor Sanwo-Olu for arresting his colleague has been arrested.   Addressing newsmen today, January 9, Taoreed said the conduct of the soldier apprehended for driving against traffic does not represent the entire Nigerian Army.   He further disclosed that many viral videos showing soldiers criticizing the Lagos state governor were fake, clarifying that only one authentic video was investigated, and the unidentified soldier involved has been apprehended.
